Who's Behind GLITCH? Glitch Game Testers is a research project of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Prof. Amy Bruckman and Prof. Mark Guzdial), and Morehouse College (Prof. Charles Meadows and Prof. Kenneth Perry). It is the dissertation research of GT PhD student Betsy DiSalvo. Undergraduates from both Morehouse and GT staff the program. Glitch was begun with a grant from the National Science Foundation program in Broadening Participation in Computing, and was featured on the NSF home page as part of computer science education week in December 2010. Game Testing clients to date include Yahoo Games!, Cartoon Network, Last Legion Games, Kaneva, Game Tap, Good Egg Games, and others. To date, we have provided testing services to companies for free. Our clients tell us our testers do great work—as good as their professional testers. To sustain the program beyond the end of NSF funding, we hope to found a nonprofit 501(c)(3) game testing corporation. And here 's a link to our website, though the information may be slightly out of date.
Our recruitment process is known as: Outstanding Teachers for Outstanding Schools and it ensures that we identify, recruit, reward and retain the best possible educators for our students.
