level 1 I think most people are more comfortable face to face, you get more non verbal cues and get a better idea of the dynamic. The interviewers also have a more tangible interaction. The only benefit is that you're able to have a superday in NYC (morning) and another one in SF (afternoon) on the same day, whereas that would be a 3-4 day endeavor in the past. level 2 I certainly prefer face to face. I've interviewed over Zoom a few times last year and received feedback from my recruiter after one interview that I "looked to causal". I didn't end up getting an offer, which is probably for the better, but made me realize that it's way to easy to look too relaxed being in a home setting. level 2 I agree with you - most are comfortable in person, like myself. Was especially thinking of the younger folks here, who might be doing their first interviews ever via Zoom.
